Lanarkshire Deaf Hub

Lanarkshire Deaf Hub is the operating name for Lanarkshire Deaf Club SCIO (SC048560). We are an award‑winning, solely deaf‑led charity dedicated to improving the lives of people with hearing loss and deafness across Lanarkshire.

Since 2003, we have been connecting communities and delivering inclusive, community‑driven services and projects for individuals of all ages, alongside tailored support for families, deaf children, young people, and CODAs (Children of Deaf Adults).

Connect, Communicate, Collaborate, and Care.

Our Hubs

Families

Hub

Our Families Hub provides a supportive environment where deaf families, including deaf parents, children, youth, and CODAs (Children of Deaf Adults) can connect, access resources, and take part in activities. We run regular groups, as well as fun and educational events for children and young people.

Communities

Hub

Our Communities Hub fosters a strong sense of belonging by bringing deaf and BSL communities together. Through the Lanarkshire Deaf Social Club, our 50 Plus Group, additional groups, and networking events, we promote participationwhile addressing social isolation and loneliness.

Wellbeing

Hub

Our Wellbeing Hub is dedicated to promoting physical health, mental health, and emotional wellbeing for deaf and BSL communities and their families. We offer confidence‑building programmes, wellbeing resources, and drop‑in sessions, all available in BSL.

Learning

Hub

Our Learning Hub offers educational opportunities for all ages, providing access to inclusive BSL workshops, courses, and resources that support lifelong learning, personal growth, and confidence-building. We also offer Deaf Awareness and Accessibility training to organisations.

If we didn't have their support, we don't know where we would be right now. "

Kathleen, mother of a deaf child

"Lanarkshire Deaf Hub has been amazing for myself and my children. It's a great resource and prevented isolation for us. We're able to mix with other deaf parents / children. They have been a huge help in supporting my children's education and mental health."
